This was a poem which I composed in Jan 1980 on a Saturday and it took 7 months to get it published. I mailed it on 10th Jan 1980 and got published on the 23rd of July 1980 ! Just a simple Poem Corner as they used to call it. Not paid anyway - just for expression purposes.So, here it goes :-
Glamourous is the word to describe her,
Cheeky and sometimes a sense of humour,
Nothing has she to make me sadder,
It's the nicest things when she gets closer!
Lovely a smile she has,
From her pretty little face,
With a round pair of sparkling eyes,
She's cute and so full of grace!
Warm and kind she is,
Aways with a hand to lend,
And with a sentimental bliss,
She would always understand.
Feelings of affection,
And in her prime,
A heart of great devotion,
She's a lady of mine!
